Choosing ESS Wildland Fire Goggles

ESS goggles are available with wraparound straps and two-piece helmet-mount configurations. Compare the frame profile, ventilation, strap or bracket system, helmet compatibility, prescription-eyewear fit, included lens, and replacement parts before ordering.

The right configuration depends on your helmet system, operational requirements, and department or agency standards. Review the exact product listing and current manufacturer documentation before relying on a certification or compatibility claim.

Helmet and Mounting Compatibility

The FirePro-1977 EX uses a two-piece snap-on and snap-off helmet-mount system, while the FirePro-1977 FS uses a one-piece wraparound strap. Mounting brackets, straps, goggles, and helmets are not universally interchangeable.
